Oh hello world! So I guess we’re doing this – the DNS is all working and WE’RE LIVE.

…Hi?

It’s a really good thing I’m married to someone I like.. as well as love, of course. 😉 Cuz being together 24/7 can be tough. And great. I can and do work from home, and am very fortunate that my company has provisions in place for that. Was already WFH on the average of 1 or 2 days most weeks anyway before all the craziness.

We live in the Chicago metro area and are near one of the main centers of outbreak in the US. We have been taking ‘flatten the curve’ seriously. My last day downtown Chicago was March 12th, and was a regular Metra rider. Trips to the grocery store alone while my wife and 3½ year old are at home are about the only time I’ve been out.

We’re a fairly average family trying to weather the storm and do our part to help as many as possible. We’re taking ‘shelter in place’ seriously. It’s definitely hard, but we have it good in many ways that I’m seriously grateful for. I hope folks across the world and and across the US can work to get through this together.

That said – the intention of this blog is to highlight some fun and lighthearted times.
